Where it comes from
Pieces are posted from wherever they are.
Nothing here is held in one warehouse. Pieces are found, made and kept in
different places around the world — most of them in Europe — and each one is
sent from wherever it actually is.
So the journey is not the same for every piece, and neither is the time it
takes. The place a piece ships from is written on its own page,
under Made, just above the price. If you want to know before you buy, that is
where to look.
What it costs
Standard postage is included.
The price you see on a piece is the price you pay to have it posted to you by
standard post. There is nothing to add at the end.
Express postage is offered as well, at the checkout, for a flat extra charge
shown beside the option. It is a choice, never a default.
If it is not right
Returns are accepted.
If a piece is not what you hoped for, it can come back. Write to us first —
the Contact page is the quickest way — and say
which order it is, so we can tell you where to send it. Pieces come from
different places, so the address is not always the same one it arrived from.
Return postage is paid by the buyer. The cost of sending a
piece back to us is yours, and we would rather say so plainly here than have it
come as a surprise later. Send it in a way that can be tracked: until it
arrives, it is still travelling at your risk.
Once it reaches us and is as it left, the price of the piece is refunded to the
card that paid for it.
Anything else
Questions that come up often are answered on the
Questions page. Anything not covered there, please
write to the house — letters are read and answered
by hand.
